Yes it should work on shore power, if the converter is on (circuit breaker in power center) and the 120 volt circuit breaker controlling the fridge is set. Any light in or outside the fridge indicates it has 12 volt power from the batteries and/or the converter. It is usually necessary to turn the mode switch off - wait a couple seconds and then select auto to recycle the fridge. If it starts operating correctly the green light will stay on continuously and the orange (red) light will be off. If both lights are flashing, you have a problem and the manual will have a couple suggestions. This is for the typical N641 Norcold fridge. The NX641 has a digital display but operates the same way.
