I must say I'm impressed with the Dynamat. I did not expect to get this level of noise reduction from the engine cover only.
Interesting, however I think you percentage of sound reduction is wrong. Remember that sound level changes are not linear but are a log function. For every 3db of change you half or double the level.

If you do the math a 10db reduction is 10% of the sound level. You have 6 and 9db changes which Is about a 75% and 87.5%. That not bad at all.
