My single mud flaps behind the tires were added by the previous owner. I’ve not yet towed so I can’t say how well they work. It’s interesting to me that when parked both sides solidly touch the ground. I’d have thought this to be a sure recipe for kicking up rocks so I’ve thought of shortening them an inch or so. On the other hand, in several thousand miles of driving they haven’t worn down at all. I guess that means that they “sail” enough when underway to prevent contact with the ground. Long way of asking: what is the optimal height for mud flaps to do the best job?
