GVWR (gross vehicle weight) is only one thing to consider. You also need to be aware of GAWR (axel weight).
When I weighed my rig, I found I was under GVWR buy 2500 lbs, however the rear axel was only 500 lbs under the GAWR for my vehicle.
I relocated some heavier items (bottle jack, tools etc.) closer to the front to try and compensate. Haven’t reweighed yet.
