that's a fine idea, as the 'order' of the two hot legs is not important and doesn't have any impact on the ATS, it's simply two hot legs.
but, also check to make sure your home's OUTLET, or the rv park's OUTLET, AND the double-pole 50amp BREAKER has power to both legs, as that might be a simpler 'exchange' of wires versus the ATS.
