We have a 2018 Thor Freedom Elite Mercedes Sprinter with the propane generator. We have to dry camp for two of the three months we stay at Key West Naval Air Station RV park. I run the onboard generator periodically to exercise it, but our main power comes from two Honda 2000i gas generators. Cheaper to run and maintenance less expensive. I also added a Camco Extend-a-Stay valve to the propane tank, that allows connecting it to a 20 lb propane tank if needed (and also a connection for grill).
