The vent is right there next to the fill opening, in the same plastic piece. I have seen them clogged by mud daubers before but I have also heard of cases where the fill hose got kinked and wouldn't allow filling.

I saw that but wasn't 100% sure what I was looking at. I'll give it a look and see what I find.
