Thank you Iwmcguire for taking the time to reply. I spoke with Thor's Customer Service Rep early rep early on. Also, their field rep, no help with the slider. Near term solution was to go to a Thor approved dealer, highly likely front the money for any service, and hope I get reimbursed by Thor. Remember, I'm on the road so I can't get to the selling dealer, more than a 1,000 miles away, in a timely manner. Finally, it is unlikely I would see the coach in less than 60 days with this dealer. So that is my motivation for trying to fix it myself.
