Not necessarily...they just have their own regulator built in. You would have to remove the regulator on the grill to use the "after the regulator" source from your built in tank or, continue using the grill's regulator if you tap in to the LP line before the built in tank's regulator. Either way...the gas input to your grill must be regulated.
OK, "technically" every LP appliance uses low pressure gas, but as I said regarding an off-the-shelf grill that is designed to use a high pressure source such as the 1 lb or 20 lb bottles, " convert the grill to low pressure use (remove the grill's regulator)".
