Lt...spray your battery compartment/metal surfaces with cable and chain lube. I get it at NAPA. Goes on liquid and sorta gels a little but stays on the surface and will provide a little barrier if you have a boil-over or similar spill. I use it for tons of stuff, but mostly my tractor 3 point joints.
