You need to unhook the main cable that is coming from the outside and hooks to the TV antenna amplifier. I ran the main line to an a & b switch. From that switch I run one line back to the amplifier and the other to my satellite receiver.
This wall I can go back and forth depending on what I want to watch.

The splitter in my challenger works with my direct TV system.
