My bathroom fan used to cause a horrible screeching noise.

The mod in the link caused the spousal unit to quit Making that noise just because she couldn't reach the ceiling switch.

Cut two wires in half, twist a new wire to each you cut...
Fifteen minutes and any overhead fan or basement light or anything 12v, under 40amp, is now remote control.
12v outlet, overhead fan, lights, dash fan, a 12v sprinkler selonoid you hooked to a black tank clean out(next week).
Aux back up light you want to control but don't want to run 40ft of wire for a switch.

No pictures its just a bathroom fan for now.

(it's kinda weird. The two smaller buttons make it strobe or pulse if you want a fan to do such a thing.)

(someone recommended this one too)
