I have a couple of these lying around. I passingly thought last week of installing one as a slide lock.
What do the factory locks look like?
I doubt I really need a slide lock on my little 24.1, but I have the part.
If the factory one isn't a big price and will be a cleaner install I'll do that instead.
And
I would SERIOUSLY suggest either the liftmaster jackshaft mount garage door opener or at least this lock(which comes with the 8500 liftmaster side jackshaft opener) for your garage door. The jackshaft side mount door opener is a wonderful thing.
