We have not decided yet. RV is winterized, and we live in Michigan, so we are not sure when we will venture out.

Might be as early as March. We have a cruise scheduled for mid-March leaving out of Ft. Lauderdale. My son lives in central Florida, which is half the reason we bought the RV, so we could spend a month in the winter near where he lives. So we may go to Florida for a month in March.

The hold up is whether or not we'll have a sufficient vehicle to tow by then or not (our current vehicle has a CVT, which can be dolly, but not be dinghy towed). We're not sure yet which tow method we want to go with.

I am leaning towards dinghy towing as we only have a 5,000lb towing capacity on our rig, and the dolly adds 400~600lbs to the towed weight.

We figured if we are in travel mode - going from location to location on a daily basis, a tow vehicle isn't important.

But if we park it for a month, we'd want a vicinity vehicle for sure. However, an option is to rent a car from Enterprise (they will pick you up and drop you off at your location as long as it is in the vicinity).

Of course, this is all new to us, so we may change our minds quickly.

We weren't going to buy a RV until next summer, but in Michigan, you can get some good deals this time of year. And we found a good enough deal on our unit that we could not pass on it - even if we have to store it for a couple of months.
