No, just more floor space for us and our two puppies. Seems silly, but just want to try for those extended trips. May be a pain to remove every morning, we'll see, I guess. The Extra depth makes a huge difference in seating comfort. We tried by leaving the sleeper in, but the foam was not great, so decided to make new cushions. If you need help on selecting foam, give a holler.
