Some signs of needing an alignment can include uneven tire wear, but you may not see the unusual tire wear for a long time. It's not worth waiting if it doesn't drive right. Plus some alignment issues may not show in uneven tire wear.

I'd have it checked anyway. You can do a forum search and see what's been written. I kind of recall reading that an initial alignment was covered but I'm not sure. Others can confirm on Ford and or Thor policy. Even if out of pocket I'd do the cheaper alignment prior to the more expensive upgrades. You may get lucky and not need more.
