I queried my son in law, who just made a trek staying at several Walmart cross the country, and the extended their slide at stops with never a question. I guess it depends on time of day and your desire to be a good RV ambassador.
For our small table, I just went to the big box and bought a round table top, stained it and put a easily obtainable fitting on. $20. 1 hour including travel.
