Wiring in the Challenger
You guys have been very helpful to new Thor owners and I certainly appreciate it. I have two questions for today:
1) I would like to straight-wire my EezTire TPMS so I don't have to use the cigarette lighter. It is simple enough to remove the dash, only 4, maybe 5, screws. I had to do it a few weeks ago to plug the mirroring cable into the back of the radio. My question is, is there a "best" place to wire it in or do I just splice it into something? I want to make sure when the engine shuts down, power to the monitor also shuts down.
2) We always seem to have more electrical devices that we have receptacles for them. In the Challenger's cockpit there is a duplex receptacle on the wall next to the passenger's seat. There are two duplex outlets over the entertainment seating on the passenger's side. The problem is on the driver's side. There are no receptacles from the cockpit all the way to the galley. That's the entire front half of the coach on the driver's side. If I want to add a component to the entertainment center, or plug in my computer, or anything else there is no place to do so on the driver's side. I know there are outlets under the entertainment center. Does anyone have experience or ideas about adding outlets inside the entertainment center cabinets?
Any help or suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks.
