Morning Folks,
I am currently doing the same as you. But I do store my fishing rod holders along the length of the fuel tank. There are some fairly heavy metal supports holding the tank which I attached the tubes to (on the vertical part using heavy tie-wraps, still plenty of ground clearance and easy access from just under the bumper). I did look into a PVC tube for "Stinky-Slinky" storage but the stuff I could find at the time with a large enough diameter was to heavy duty. I have seen people using PVC tube (possibly water/sewer pipe) mounted vertically on the rear ladder and using available end caps (screwed on or bungee'ed)
