Well folks...the
pine round from Home Depot for $5.50 leaves something to be desired (you get what you pay for) ... however, it does serve the purpose and will get dinged up anyway !
I purchased Howard Cutting Board Oil (food grade mineral oil) at Menards 12oz..$6 (WalMart has Snow River ..an 8oz bottle which must be ordered for around $4)
...having sanded the round well, I followed instructions for oil application.
Ron attached the rubber bumpers on the underside to keep it place.
