Disintegrating Front Curtain Liner

Well I've seen several comments from Vegas/Axis owners about how the sun disintegrates the driver & passenger side curtains. I thought I had avoided the phenomena after 8 months of ownership and bright Florida sun shine.

Yesterday I went down to the storage yard to move the Vegas to the water and sewer connection to rinse out my black tank. As I moved the passenger curtain back to its storage position I generated a snow storm on the passenger seat with what used to be the curtain liner.

My wife bought a nice barn red and white cotton material and she just cut new curtains to replace the brown fiberglass ones. She hasn't sewn them yet, but as soon as she does and we hang them I'll post a picture.

We also cut a new shower curtain liner to the length of the existing track and we'll be replacing that when we hang the front curtains. I know we've researched how to obtain the cured rod from the 2016 model -- but at $80 that was just too far outside our sense of frugality. In addition, the way our track is mounted there is only about 1/2" between the track and the cabinet above the toilet. Mounting the curved rod would not provide sufficient clearance for the curtain between the cabinet and the rod if I were to install it. She will also Velcro the ends of the shower curtain with the walls of the shower. Will also post pictures of that installation when finished.
