Charging house batteries

I am a newbie but take that for whats its worth As I understand it batteries are charged while you are either plugged in to "shore power" such as a campground or while generator is running. On my first big trip I ran my generator the entire time as I had my Saint Bernards onboard and temps were well over 90 degrees. No issues with battery power when needed. (gen off, setting up camp at RV park).

Have a great trip!
