THOR #4032
Ace 29.3 Slide Issue

The other day, after leveling my coach, I extended the slide. It made a funny sound like it was rubbing something but nothing was in the way. After fully extending and amping out, when I went to retract it and it only moved in a few inches and stopped. Actually, it sounded like the front motor stopped first. I extended it and re-synced the motors but again it only wanted to come in a few inches and stopped. I talked to my dealer (in vain) and then called Thor. Thor was very helpful, walking me through checking the control box located in the second storage bay. No error codes blinking etc. So he had me press the button 6 times with a ball point pen, then hold it on the seventh time until the lights blinked rapidly. After that, I was able to retract the slide without a problem. No funny noises either. We tried extending the slide again. Again, when retracting it stopped after a few inches. Again re-sync the slides but again the same results. Again, press the reset button six times then hold the seventh etc. Again it came right in. My dealer will not even look at it until the 10th of August and we are leaving on a trip on the 4th. Since we will only extend and retract the slide once on our trip we will go ahead and go.

Has anyone with a 29.3 experienced this? Thanks for your input.

Bob
