Heated tanks

2003 hurricane. Pads on bottom of tanks. Do they automatically turn off when they get hot/warm.
Fresh water tank in rear. Is it heated from a small furnace duct. There is a duct in a chase behind the toilet, going under shower, but does it go all the way to the water tank area, and just blow warm air in the area.,. Thanks for any info.
