I had read many times on forums people recommending that you carry an unmounted spare. Then if you have a flat just call a roadside tire service. I took the advice and it paid off in 2011. We had a blowout on the left front. Lost a couple hours waiting on them, but well worth it. Tried to replace the spare before we got back underway, but couldn't find the correct size from either of two shops I checked with.
Six months later we blew the left rear inside dual. Again, very happy we had a spare. Tires were only 4 years old, but apparently had a manufacturing defect. Spare tire was one of the first things we bought for this coach last year. It fits well in one of the center basement compartments.
