I went and checked mine. Clamps were there. I put a few more inch-pounds of torque on them. The hose is routed different on mine. It is more horizontal and becomes visible right above the tranny dipstick.

That makes more sense, and I suspect that my hose was incorrectly routed. I'll dig into it more when I get back from my trip.
