My 30.2 has the same brackets to stop the full length slideout. I thought they were aluminum until I put a magnet on one of them and it stuck. They are apparently steel. On my slide they screw into the metal (aluminum I presume) frame on the slide. One of the screw heads popped off of the forward upper bracket. I found it on the floor. I started looking and found the forward upper bracket was only tight with one screw (center one). The other screw was there but was broken and only held in place by the plywood/plastic skin. That upper bracket was also cracked. I checked the forward lower bracket and found that one of the screws was also broken and held in place by the skin. I haven't checked the rear brackets yet.
I have built new brackets out of angle steel I bought at Home Depot. This is 1/8 thick and 2" by 2". The factory brackets are about 1/8 thick and 1 3/4 by 1 3/4. There is only about .020 difference between the thickness of the brackets and the extra 1/4 inch doesn't look like it will cause any problems. I made the new brackets twice as long (6") and will use 6 screws to attach them. I'll try and post photos as I can.
