it's much easier to just install a simple battery disconnect ... we've towed ours 60,000+ miles and never had a battery issue starting the toad... sometimes it's connected days on end, sometimes only for 1/2 day... either way, I disconnect the battery by using the switch under the hood.

some folks add a special 'switch' button, mounted near the steering wheel of the toad and run to a special battery cutoff device, that makes it easier and quicker to 'disconnect' the batteries...
