Thanks to all. I just needed your encouragement to twist it hard enough to turn it. It was very tight. I was afraid I was on the edge of breaking it but then it twisted into a better position. Still not over the hole but at least it is now functional. Thanks to all for your help. Saved me a trip to repair shop where they would have twisted it and probably charged me. Blessings to all.
