Dave, first of all congratulations on your recent retirement!!!! I think you are going about finding your first RV DP the correct way. And yes, there are tons of us happy with our Thor products.
You said you were looking for a used unit, going to have it inspected, plus you are handy and don't mind doing some repairs and maintenance. Sounds to me like you have done your homework and will be a savy RVer in short order!
We are certainly happy with our Thor MH. It is about what we expected and after only about 3,000 miles has served us well.
