I just changed mine today. It only has 1775 miles but I am about to go on a 5000 mile trip and did not want to have it changed on the road. I am thinking I read in the manual Ford recommends every 7500 miles and they want Motorcraft 5W-30 and the filter is the FL820S also Motorcraft. Both are available at Wal Mart. The 6.8L motor takes 6qts with filter change and the pan bolt is 5/8". The filter was only like $4 and the oil was $23 for 5qts. Single quarts are $4.33 each so for about $33 you can do it yourself, what does a dealer charge???
