9+mpg Thor ACE 30.1 Love it after a year.
In talking with Utah State police friend, he says that most motorhome roll overs in this state are due to front tire blow outs at freeway speeds, meaning 70+ mph. They indicate that motor homes seldom loose control enough to cause a roll over when the blow out occurs at 60 or fewer mph. So, having seen the aftermath of two MH blowout caused roll overs, I've done two things.
A. Installed the pressure temp monitors on all 6 tires.
B. Never ever go over 60 mph. My MPG runs 9+ every trip.
C. I climb hills at slow speeds with the blinkers on. I don't need to go up hills in 2nd at 5000 rpm to be running up hill at 50 or more MPH. Easier on the MH and the driver too.
I think running any motor home continually above 65 is asking for trouble "down the road" mechanically and safety wise.
Just my opinion.
