With our new-to-us Axis 24.1, we are currently using Reflectrix (sp?) from Home Depot. It is the substance you mentioned. I bought the tallest roll to cut the front windshield blocker and cut side shields.

Right now, putting the windshield blocker in and then lowering the window shade is keeping intense heat at bay here in 88-98 degree temps. It would depend on the campsite, though. OUr earlier site, we had to tape with Reflectrix tape.

I know some have used 3m hooks to hold it flatter in place. Will be looking to move toward that when it's not so hot to get into that windshield space!
