You can pause the VIP211k without having a hard drive as long as you have the access from Dish.

The only way I've found to post pictures is to upload to a site like Photobucket. Once you have the picture uploaded, you can get a link to post in your thread.

Many of these forums are setup to host pictures which is more convenient.
