Sorry you're having some issues Mike. I might be able to help with one of your minor ones.. I mounted the wife's Garmin Nuvi suction cup mount between the 2 AC ducts below the radio. (On the smooth plastic between the ducts) Fits good there and easy to use and see while driving.
