From ground to phase (hot) I had 120+- volts but from neutral to phase I only had 20+- volts. without both leads connected it will not alternate back and forth. My guess is the wire had enough tension when shoved into the connector to supply power in the beginning but after driving on rough South Carolina roads it lost its connection due to not being tightened up during assembly.
Your/our South Carolina roads are going to improve now that the gas tax was raised to fix em. Off subject, sorry.
