Thanks Fhenn! I couldn't get the video link to work but I did find this video...
I'm assuming that I have Schwintek slides ... it seems that is what Thor uses. My Hurricane has the two ladder rails (top and Bottom) that are typical of the Schwintek system. The video says to find the controller which has lights to indicate the fault. Any idea where the controller is? I also assume that the controller keeps the two slide motors in sync which means there would be one controller for each slide on the motorhome?
Also, in case of malfunction, the slides can be manually pushed back in after disengaging the motors. It seems that a slide lock would be a good thing to have in case of emergency.
