As to RV being level first, I haven't made it a point to put the jacks down, but try to be on "level" ground before I lower it. Having the body "twisted" when lowering the bed or sliding side doesn't make for a good practice.

I did have to put several screws into the track to attach it to the frame a little while back. I was prepping for a trip, and noticed the drivers side only had 2-3 screws holding the track to the frame, while the passenger side had about a dozen or more. Contacting Thor, the rep agreed with me that it really did need a lot more. Got some #8 drill screws and fixed the problem.
I cant remember if tge dealer told me do lower the bed onto the pins or if its something i read. But i do it and gave no problems.
