had to look it up. That surebond product is a butyl sealant. Likely not much different than any butyl sealant you can buy at the hardware store....but that's my guess since I've

I would use exactly what I did when I put in my roof vent fan...
butyl tape under the flange (I like working with the tape better than liquid, but I'd suppose either would do)
Then topped with a dicor or similar leveling caulk over the screws and whole thing to seal it in.
