AND if you notice, virtually all of the problems are with initial build quality (not that that excuses it...). Once the initial issues are resolved the machines seem to give good reliable service.
Although I'd tend to agree with this assessment our unit tended to hang together the first yr. (during pin to bumper coverage) almost... But, the unit is only as good as the sum of it's components. MorRyde/Kodiak did stand behind their calipers falling off, somewhat 10K mi.. Lippert Components appears to be standing behind their hydraulic seal components, 12K mi. . Granted there are the PITA aspects involved but equipment & life are seldom perfect.
This running gear, so to speak was one of the major reasons we made the brand choice we did. Ironic indeed.
Part of the beauty of these forums is to help folks be aware of potential problems and issues so that they might nip them in the bud. We all want to assume that these issues will never happen to us... Most of the problems noted are not irrational flamers venting, well one comes to mind recently. They are a moving target. For the most part manufacturers that follow these types of constructive dialog go on to build better products and continued success. A head in the sand approach often results in a "swirly" no amount of advertising can right.
DRV Suites is still in a niche of semi custom coach that's difficult to fill. We'll be watching closely to decide which coach we choose next.
Be well.
