It also has a throttle so you can use that at any time if necessary. The reasons we chose the Pedegos is the two year warranty, the reviews, and the fact that if we have a problem we can bring it to a brick and mortar store and have it repaired. I read too many horror stories about people purchasing electric bikes online and when they have a problem they get zero support.

Local bike shops are a valuable resource. They can easily handle any maintenance or warranty issuos and some carry multiple brands of e-bikes. My lbs carries three different brands and price points, making comparison and selection simpler. Lucky to have a great local shop.
