If you think of an RV as a house, which is essence it is, though on wheels, any new house, unless you build it, is a conglomeration of the least expensive appliances and materials, assembled, or built, by the least expensive laborers they can find. In our house, which we bought new a number of years ago, all the appliances were what I refer to as contractor specials, and had to be replaced within 10 years, the AC was somewhat undersized, dry wall boards came loose, doors were less than true roof had leaks, and on and on, and this was in relative terms a 'high end' house. My point is that construction, houses or RV's, is always all about profit, and if you are happy, that's nothing more than a side effect, considered unnecessary by the builder or manufacturer. If you are unhappy, join the masses. The Gemini is the 2nd new RV we have purchased, the first was a very large DP, considered high end and very expensive. I spent the first two years trying to recover it from the construction process, and though the manufacture was good about sending factory techs out to work on it, it required a lot of assembly corrections and fixes. I have certainly had issues and problems with the Gemini, but all have been resolvable by the dealer, and though for as long as we own it, I will deal with the fact that it is simply constructed with less expensive materials than the DP was, and to some extent that troubles me, but I knew that up front, so I can't truthfully claim surprise on that count.
