If you are close to a freeway, take it out for an extended test drive at highway speeds. You may be able to hear things rattle and squeak that will need to be attended to. My test drive was way to short and only on city streets.
Also resist the temptation to start throwing money at it. Some of the upgrades I made in the first few months probably were not the best choices.
Much if not most of my handling problems are due to the California concrete slabs that should have been replaced 20 years ago. (southern call anyway)
