This thread goes out to all Thor 2016/17 Axis/Vegas owners. I need some help to improve/revise the owners' manual I compiled.
I was at my dealer's last week for some minor work on my 2015 Vegas 24.1. While waiting I went outside and went through a 2017 Vegas 25.3 that had just been delivered from the factory. As I walked through this RV I noticed several things that are not mentioned or covered in the manual I compiled based on my 2015 Vegas. Noticed a completely different monitor panel than I have. Also saw the water heater thermostat in the bathroom that I don't have on my 2015 Vegas. The dash is also laid out completely different. Different bathroom door layout in 24.1.
In the introduction of my manual I point out that there are differences in where things are located or how systems might work based on new floorplans or different model years. I have revised my manual 19 times since I originally compiled it. Generally those revisions have added additional information as I learned about my Vegas -- BIRD/Trombetta, how the batteries are charged, operation of transfer relay, etc.
I would like to make the next revision more relevant to 2016/17 owners. So I'm going to ask for your help. Where something is different in your 2016/17 that is not described in my manual I ask if you could send me a paragraph describing that difference (including a picture would be super helpful). I will ensure I give credit to the individuals that provide the information.
The manual I compiled has been sent or was downloaded by 426 Axis/Vegas owners. I have even provided the manual to owners of other Thor models because they wanted the system descriptions or the checklists it includes. I would like to keep this manual as relevant as I can. I have received hundreds of emails from Axis/Vegas "newbies" who found the manual extremely informative.
