2016 ACE 30.1 - In battery bay. is that the leveler hydraulic reservoir?

While replacing compartment locks on my 2016 ACE 30.1 today I noticed a white plastic reservoir forward of the batteries.

It looks a lot like a windshield washer reservoir, but the cap has a different picture on it, one I can't figure out. Contents are pink/red, and there's a dipstick/level indicator. The level of the fluid is low - off the bottom of the dipstick. So I figure it needs some. But some what?

Nothing (of course) in the manual about this. Nor the Ford chassis manual.

Is my guess correct? Is it hydraulic fluid for the auto leveling system? If not, what is it? What needs to go in there?

I don't think its coolant. Weird locations n for that, the coolant reservoir doesn't have a dipstick (as shown in Ford manual,) and the little bit I got on my hand felt and smelled more like brake or hydraulic fluid.

For sure, or guess? Doesn't look like what the Ford manual shows for PS. And I've never seen a PS reservoir that big.

Fluid Reservoir in ACE 30.1 Battery Compartment

I have a 2017 ACE 30.1 and the white plastic reservoir forward of the batteries is the hydraulic fluid reservoir for the levelers. Immediately outboard are the pump and hydraulic manifolds. The black line on the reservoir I added to mark the fluid level with the jacks retracted. Picture should be attached

My 29.3 ACE has the reservoir and the balance of the leveling jack manifold in the battery compartment. I see no reason yours would be any different.

As several have said - leveling jack system and reservoir...
In most cases - these use ATF fluid (Dexron III) - but verify with your particular unit... Not sure what jacks you have.
(ATF is hydraulic fluid with red dye and additives that transmission use requires.)

Fluid level should be checked with jacks retracted - will show low if jacks are down.
