Looking at the diagram I realized that it should be draining into the gray water tank.
Now I am puzzled because my black water fills up very quick.

If you look closely at the diagram, the shower actually drains into the grey tank but the grey and black share the ventilation shaft.

Correct but why does my black tank fill up so quick? This is strange.

Yeah the diagram shows only the toilet going into the black tank, but then the labeling on the diagram doesn't say its for an ACE? At least the 2nd page showing the plumbing...
(XTE 36MQ--a Tuscany Diesel pusher; did you get the wrong diagram?)

I believe that this is the wrong drawing that was sent to me. I'm gonna have to give Thor a call. Thank you for noticing.

So Dan I am not alone on this? Between my wife and myself it seems in only two or three days the black water tank reads full. I am going to test my 29.3 tomorrow and see if the shower is actually emptying into the black water tank. I think it is crazy to have to empty my black water tank in so short a period of time.

I was able to verify that the shower is not going into the black water tank. So I guess the problem is that it is too small! Either that or the sensors cannot be depended on.... but you cannot look down into the tank like my Coachmen so I really have no way to know whether it is full or not, unless I let it fill beyond capacity, which I have no intention of doing. Any ideas out there? If you have an Ace 29.3 what has your experience been? Thank you.

Is it possible that when dumping the black tank, it is not emptying all the way, giving you less capacity? Just a thought. Had that happen on a travel trailer I had once, that was parked for 3 weeks with no movement.

No, I am sure it is empty...that is to say nothing more is draining and the probe shows empty.

One easy way to check your levels is remove the waste drain cap. While looking into the waste drain pull the black tank valve open and see where the level is. Just kidding. Bob's "stupid is as stupid does" campers may have tried this technique.

Just a suggestion. Could you fill the tank with water then drain it into buckets with a known capacity? That would at least tell you if you were using the full 26 gallons.

As others have said, the indicators are less than perfect.

Bob,
Been camping in our ACE 2014 many trips. The last 2 trips the black tank filled up extremely fast. Something strange going on. If you find the culprit, please let us know.

I wish I knew where to go from here but I think I am at a dead end...How big is your black water tank? Is it possible that somehow the "vent" is spilling water over into the black water tank?

Empty tank get 5 gal bucket and see how many it takes to fill through toilet. Drive on curvy road to clean tank after you fill it.
