Adding an inverter.

Has anyone added a inverter to their ACE 29.2 to power the TV and a few outlets? Pros Cons ?

Just some advice. I installed a true sine wave inverter in my Vegas and had one problem. It draws 12V current at a significant amount even when nothing is on. I assume it shut itself down when the batteries went below ~11V but I think it kept drawing current in the 0.5A range even when shut down. Maybe there are some things drawing current from this 120V run that are also drawing current but I have not had the time ore care to look into it further.

I added, or had dealer add one to our Gemini, when we bought it, part of the deal. It powers the TV's, refrigerator and several outlets. I see no downside to it at all.

To pick the proper sized inverter: Go through all the appliances you wish to run on the inverter and add up their power consumption in watts. Pick an inverter a bit bigger than that--10%-20% larger--to account of inefficiencies in the system.

If you don't know the wattage of a device, but you know how much current it consumes: convert that to watts: Volts * Amps = watts.

Sized mine at 1800 watts, which is sufficient for what I want it to power. Really don't have the battery capacity for more.

If you only have two house batteries then 1800 watts is about as big as you want to go.
