Inverter

Our inverter does not send power to our living room TV, our outdoor tv and dashboard electric outlet. The inverter starts when I push the button, but nothing turns on.

And what Year/Make/Model RV do you have?

Was this an OEM inverter installation or aftermarket.

Has the inverter ever powered these outlets/TVs?

Have you checked the output breaker on the inverter itself?

EDIT:

Research shows the OP has a 2012 Thor Serrano 34M
Probably did not come with an inverter as OEM equipment

I'm thinking maybe not inverter? Generator? Check the circuit breaker on the generator itself.

This is a 1000 watt pure sine inverter 1500 Series. It is on a 2012 Serrano. The 2TV’s and the dash electric outlet, which is also powered by the inverter went out at the same time.

Still not enough information to help.

Answer the questions in Post #2.

In Addition:

Does the inverter have an integrated Automatic Transfer Switch or give us the Make and Model of inverter.

What has changed since things worked correctly?

Do the outlets work on Shore Power?

What indicators do you have on the inverter control panel?

I am thinking it is not the inverter. Today I discovered another dead plug, tested the circuit protector which had been plugged into it in another plug, it blew it, now have to find how to reset everything. Tried it in the house, blew a breaker. Reset the house circuit breaker. Tomorrow I’ll try to find it in the Motorhome.

Hope this helps

Be sure to check the outside electric outlets. They are exposed to the elements and can cause issues.

Get Sparky back when the fuse comes- fuses blow usually from a short circuit. Have them check for shorts, loose wires, etc., esp. at the inverter. Have spare fuse on hand as well. AC should actually have a breaker instead of a fuse. Inverter typically has a fuse from B+ battery cable.

Thor is famous for not knowing how to do electrical. Loose connections can arc, and will cause problems.
