Slides won't move

Brand new 2017 29' Freedom Elite. Brought it home parked it in the driveway with the slides out. A week ago we put the slides back in because of an approaching storm. Prepping the camper for this weekend camping trip and went to extend the slides and....nothing.

I'm thinking maybe the auxiliary battery might be dead, but slides won't move with the generator on either.

Any suggestions ?

Sounds like you need to charge the batteries! Running the gen won't do it I believe.

Check your use/store switch and make sure key isn't in the ignition. Maybe the parking brake?
Anything else on 12 volts work? Lights?

Bingo, took the key out of the ignition and low and behold the slides moved.

Thanks for the suggestion and won't make that mistake again.

Good deal. These things have all kinds of safety stuff to keep us from doing something dumb. We have done something of this nature.
Kind of like all the safety stuff on riding mowers to keep us from cutting off our feet
I stopped at a gas station and was going to put down the overhead bed to get something. Wouldn't work and I figured I would have to fix it later. Come to find out it will not work with the engine running.
When all else fails, remove key and hit use store switch. Wife hits mine all the time by accident.
Oh yea, the awning will not work either with the engine running.

We had the same thing happen to us a few years ago with our 25' Dorado B+
..we were preparing to leave Las Vegas having been there for a week.
Ron decided he needed to move the RV a short distance, but first, bring in the slide...nothing/nada...wouldn't budge...we panicked..too early to call for assistance from a local RV Store ...
then...I looked at the ignition and saw the keys in it..just a reaction, I pulled the keys out and YES !! Slide came in !
Like you...that never happened again !!!

happy camping !!
