Black tank flush question

When I disconnect the garden hose from the flush fitting, water flows out for a couple of minutes. Is this normal? The water flowing out is clear and during the flush, I can hear the water "spraying" in the tank. Thoughts and input please!

It sounds as if it's doing what it should.
I always wondered if it would be more effective, to hook up to a hot water connection, and give the tank a warm bath?

Well I though they have a one way valve in them? How long is your feeder line? Like my Tornado is on the side of the black tank and I have about three foot of line to relocate the hose fitting where I can get to it easy.

I would think it would only be what is left behind the one way valve would drain out but that should drain in 20 seconds. Perhaps if your feeder line is higher than the flush nozzel and it will take longer to drain?

There should be an integrated check valve where the hose attaches so NO WATER should squirt back out; maybe a few drops, but that's it. Both the factory installed "rinser" on my last TT and the Tornado in my ACE work the same way. You gotta wonder where the pressure comes from to cause water to flow out "for a couple of minutes", even if the check valve was defective.

No way this is normal.

I have a 2018 Thor 37rb. When I disconnect my hose I get water flowing back out maybe for 10 seconds. The water is clear and it's always been that way.

On the last two of my RVs the No-Fuss Flush Check Valve was installed under/near the bathroom sink. The bathrooms are on the other side of the RV from the hose fill inlet attachment point. Thus there is about 12 feet of water line running to the check valve. This is the water that you see exiting after disconnecting.

Here is a pdf on the no-fuss

That makes sense. The water that comes out is clear as day and under no pressure. There is no check valve right behind the water hose connector as others have said.
